Around two per cent of the population endure repeated and chronic bouts of illness. This includes conditions such as severe allergies, asthma, epilepsy, arthritis, diabetes, meningitis, kidney, liver or heart disease, illnesses such as AIDS and cancer and, increasingly, health complaints associated with obesity, which will disproportionately affect economically disadvantaged. Chronic illness has a well-documented effect on people's performance, increasing the risk of taking a career. MTCT does, collaborating with the convalescing patients and his or her parents, gaining the information one need to manage the illness and to understand the emotional reactions and establishing ongoing liaison with the parents and medical personnel. MTCT provides assistance to people suffering from chronic illness. We raise funds from major donors to provide patients with the financial assistance they may need to pay for hospital stays, travel for treatments or support their families in case they lose or forced to quit their jobs.
